The six-story structure was constructed in response to strong demand for large floor plate office spaces. The skylit atrium-lobby enables the six floors of offices to share the natural light and the beauty of the lobby’s interior, which is accented with water features, furniture, art, and sculptures that were created by John Portman.
At 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., a special one-hour Portman building tour, where guests can view Mr. Portman’s works in Peachtree Center (reservations required).
Open to the public for self-guided tours without reservations, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Maps will be provided for self-guided tours.
- Model shop will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Come meet senior model builders while he shows his skills for domestic and international project models
- Plan to stick around and watch movies, “John Portman: Life of a Building” and the “Portman in Hollywood” (showings on the hour)
- Coloring contest for children (and maybe a few adults) attending with their families
